On the morning of Hurricane Francine’s arrival, the storm started to strengthen.

According to our friends at News15, Francince is currently sitting with winds of 90 miles per hour and is moving to the northeast at 12 miles per hour.

Currently, it appears the storm will make landfall somewhere around Morgan City or Franklin, giving the Acadiana area some major impacts. However, model trends could indicate another shift to the east and make landfall closer to Terrebonne Parish, which would limit impacts locally.

Keep it right here for the latest on Hurricane Francine and with our news partner at KADN.
