Attention job seekers! Are you comfortable in a swimsuit and do you love to travel? Here’s a way to make some money, if you are lucky enough. Hotels.com is looking for someone to fill the position of a Poolhop. Yes, this job does involve a swimming pool so this means you will need sunblock and more than one swimsuit. Applications are being accepted until Tuesday, June 25. The “poolhop” will spend their days lounging by the poolside and take photos for social media. #signmeup

The job requirements are pretty straightforward. You travel to different cities, stay at fancy resorts and check the pool. Of course, you are expected to drink fruity drinks, wear a hotel robe and take lots and lots of photos. It’s like getting paid to take a vacation. In order to be considered for this position, you must be at least 21 years old, love hotels, taking fun photos and available for two weeks in August.

If you are selected, you will get paid $10,000. This sounds like a joke, but it isn’t. Your airfare will be taken care of, you will be featured on their website and you will forever be the envy of all of your friends.

If I didn’t already have summer plans, I’d definitely sign up. You get to travel around the country staying at only the most lavish hotels and get paid to do it. It’s funny because my friends and I did this for fun in high school. My dad was in the military and when I was in high school, my family was stationed at an airbase in Hawaii. On weekends, my friends and I would sneak into the super fancy hotels in downtown Waikiki to go swimming. The pools were huge and glamorous. It was fun, at least until the hotel manager discovered that we didn’t belong. Not sure how he knew we weren’t guests. The manager would demand to see our key. We would normally take off running. Only once did a couple of honeymooners save us by telling the manager, “They’re with us.”

Good times.
