After two days of the 2019 NFL Draft with only one pick, the New Orleans Saints made the most of their opportunities on Saturday by focusing more on the defensive side of the football.

Saints Third Round Pick (105): Chauncey Gardner-Johnson, Florida

The New Orleans Saints wasted little time getting their guy, trading up early Saturday morning to get safety Chauncey-Gardner Johnson.

The former Florida Gator is coming off of an outstanding junior season, racking up 71 tackles, nine for loss, three sacks, led the team with four picks, and two pass breakups.

Saints Sixth Round Pick (177): Saquan Hampton (Rutgers)

The Saints secured another safety later in the afternoon with Saquon Hampton out of Rutgers. Hampton recorded three of his four interceptions last season and racked up 64 total tackles on his way to team MVP honors for the Scarlet Knights.

Saints Seventh Round Pick (231): Alize Mack (Notre Dame)

New Orleans went ahead and snatched up a tight end in Alize Mack. Out of Notre Dame, he fits a need for tight end depth where the Saints offense was very thin last season. Mack recorded 36 catches for 360 yards and three touchdowns last season with the Fighting Irish.

Saints Seventh Round Pick (244): Kaden Elliss (Idaho)

The Saints final pick in the NFL Draft focused in on addressing linebacker depth. The son of former Detroit Lion Luther Ellis was a multi-year starter for the Vandals with 278 total tackles and 17 sacks in his career.
