Cold Front In Acadiana in July?

What does it mean with the weather service is predicting a cold front to affect the Acadiana area in the dead of summer?

Well, get ready for what could be a very rare experience in South Louisiana this week.

The National Weather Service in Lake Charles is forecasting cooler temperatures this week because a cold front which is the kind of system which never seems to happen in summer.

The region will see scattered showers Monday into the evening hours. There is a very good chance of additional showers on Tuesday.

According to KLFY-TV, the cold front will move through Acadiana and will actually move deep into the state where your sinuses will feel the effect of less humidity and yes, cooler temperatures.

You’re asking how cool it will be? According to forecasters, the days will be in the lower 80’s and night temperatures will be in the ’60s and remember, this is July. One of the hottest months of the year.
