Hurricane Dorian Threatens Florida With Possible Strike Monday

The tropics are starting to heat up as we enter the busiest time of the year for the development of hurricanes and depressions.

Hurricane Dorian is threatening the Florida and Georgia coasts with a possible strike on Monday morning.

The highest winds are at 75 mph and are moving NW AT 13 mph.

The possible landfall could be Orlando bur at this point she still has a lot of acreages to cover.

The main concern for South Louisiana is if Dorian gets caught in the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico and into Gulf stream, the entire Gulf Coast will have to stay up-to-date on the latest information from the NWS.

The Category 3 hurricane has various areas and Islands on alert including Puerto Rico, Vieques, and the Virgin Islands.

Dorian is expected to become a major hurricane (Category 3 ) as it moves north of the Bahamas. The NHC is predicting  Dorian will be a major hurricane as he moves inland on Monday.
