LSU Announced as 13 Seed in NCAA Baseball Tournament

After a solid run in Hoover, Alabama, the LSU Tigers (37-24) were announced as the 13 seed in the NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament on Monday afternoon. If they advance in the tournament, they’ll likely face off with SEC foe Georgia in the Super Regionals.

The road to Omaha will begin once again inside Alex Box Stadium. The LSU Tigers will face a familiar foe on Friday night when they take on Stony Brook (31-21). These two faced off in the Super Regionals back in 2012 and the Seawolves took the best of three series. First pitch is scheduled for 6 pm.

The other participants in the Baton Rouge regional will face off on Friday at 12 pm will be Southern Miss (38-19) and Arizona State (37-17).
